because this is Use All The Water week at the Hibbard House. There's dyeing going on--here's the yarn spun from that batch of onion skin-alum dye a couple days ago--four ounces, 300 yards, but it will be bigger once it's plied:
and here's a hot dyepot of black walnut with another pound of roving:
and here's two natural greys in the sink, one soaking, one draining ready to be rinsed:
so there's wool on the picnic table, and almost-dry stuff from yesterday on a sheet on the freshly mowed grass, two colors of roving dripping on the clothesline, and a batch of our laundry out there too, waving in the slight breeze in sunlight. Soon, I'll go get change for the farm market tomorrow, pack up my tub, and hubbin is volunteering to spend part of his Friday night fixing my old wagon again. Today is for spinning and continuing to wash wool to get that lovely barn odor out of the house, and let me just say THIS fiber artist is lovin' all the fuzzies. Peace.
