Pinky red is the color dujour,
and the three wall sculptures that make up the first piece, they are assembled and I shot the middle one and played with it:
I need to stop by the Flower Factory or Dick Blicks and get a gallon of gesso so I can get these prepped and painted black soon.
Now, here's a little problem. I need somewhere to hang up this work so I can take a pic of it all in one piece, would prefer a white or neutral wall behind. Takes six nails to get it up (with monofilament slings, for purposes of the photo). It's 10 feet side to side, by 42-45 inches from top to bottom. Hmmm. Need to find a spot to do that. Well, gesso, then paint, then work in the weaving portions, then paint again, so I have a little time before that's needed, but want to get pics sent to the gallery and it would be helpful to explain to people the kinds of wood pieces I'm seeking, too. Peace.
