The only time I clean up and put away things is if someone is coming. The idea is to invite two people, about three days apart, and the house will always be somewhat presentable. So the third sculpture piece was assembled and that work table cleared up, we'll pick up gesso this weekend and I already have the paint:
and I got the basket materials from Sauder Village out of the closet, for the weaving-in on the sculptures as well as for cheaper, practical baskets for the farmer's market starting the end of May:
and sent a message to my friend Bev that I need to order some more black walnut hulls from her, for staining basket materials. Black walnut not only dyes, but it also offers chemical protection from critters that might think the basket is tasty :)
and here's three pounds of Edie's mohair from her goats, mostly white with some light grey tendrils mixed in, soaking in very hot water for the day, two parts dish soap to one part naturally scented detergent. Yeah, it stills smells kinda like a barn in here anyway.
I washed a leather hat for a friend's husband, it's drying, and am spinning on those batts I showed you. 2:00 visit with a friend, 6:00 is drawing class tonight at Khristo's, about to put chicken breasts and broth into the crock pot for hubbin to fish out and make his own dinner, poor thing, but offering free classes to share our skills with our community has always been important, and most people are free in the evenings, so that is when I teach. Peace.
