So first off, my apologies, we just got the internet finally hooked up on Monday, then there were the problems locating the proper camera cords and downloading pics--but here you go. We'll skip all the ugly cleaning, painting, scrubbing, and other pics and go directly to the beautiful, almost done and ready to open pictures:
Friends came and did repairs on five sinks for just the cost of parts:
and I painted my Grandfather's bookcases he made for me in college, here they are filling up with stock:
and to the right, here are displays filling up with stock today:
and Husband got the special bulbs and installed them into these antique showcases, to hold delightful vintage cookbook advertising, little dishes, quilt blocks, and doll tea sets--
and after three weeks of almost daily work at least a couple hours a day, I'm proud to show off the kitchen, repaired, cleaned, painted, scrubbed, and ready for classes--won't you come and teach one?
We know and are thankful for all the blessings that have come our way, and already we're reaching out to share them--extra freezer space has been loaned, contacts made for selling local farmers' dried herbs and eggs, looking for teachers. The class has been paid for to train our baker, who starts the first week in July two days a week making healthy loaves of bread. Pat has ironed the aprons, only two inspections remain--one today and one tomorrow afternoon. Craig is ordering the cash register, the internet music program is being arranged, my trash can is due today.
I turned 50 a couple of days ago. I heartily recommend you find the job for which you feel passion and devotion, and grasp onto it with both hands, because nothing makes you feel as young as waking in the morning, excited to meet the day, full of hope for the future. Thank you to all who supported our dream and encouraged us to work towards having this store "someday." Looks like "someday" is next Tuesday, May 10th, barring any unknown variables. Peace to all.
Looking good, wish I could come shop there!

Hi, aprons! We miss you on Etsy! Your store looks awesome! I really want one (or many) of those kerchiefs, they're beautiful! Happy belated birthday!

Hi Valerie
First of all, the place looks great! Second, Happy Birthday a little late. I am working on the mailing list, but have to admit I am behind in my efforts. My daughter is in the hospital and I have been there 24-7 for a week now. I came home tonight to sleep in a bed! I am hoping she will be released this week-end and I can get back to normal! All is well, or will be soon. My best to you and Craig!

Happy belated BIRTHDAY! Everything I can see in the pictures looks great. Will be looking forward to seeing it in person when we come that way in August. Best of luck,

Valerie,
That last paragraph was EXACTLY what I needed to read just now. Thank you and thank the Lord!
