Congratulations on your Baby!! You will have such fun! I love the hum of a Treadle....it's a soothing sound and I can't help but think of the women that have sewn clothing and quilts before me...
enjoy Valerie!

What a delight! I have always wanted a treadle machine, and recently started looking for one used. It is hard to find decent ones out here in AZ (more are around in the Midwest). Someday...though!

Congrats and enjoy working with this great machine.

I cannot guess what the "O" is for -- so I give in on that one!

The treadle is grand, but I was more excited about the restaurant owner!

:-D

Congratulations, what a beauty!! I'm hoping I can one day wangle my mom's old Singer treadle machine away from her, especially because she doesn't use it now that the motor went out (it's got the treadle, but underwent the electric conversion at some point in the past). Anyway, good luck! FYI - if that one has the bullet-shaped bobbin carrier, it's darn near impossible to find actual bobbins for it. Stores simply don't carry them anymore, but you might be able to find them online. And just as a tip, you might find it helpful to take off the treadle belt after a couple of weeks and tighten it, especially since you do a lot of sewing. It gets very frustrating when the belt slips. It also takes a little practice to get the hang of keeping the machine going forward and not accidentally flipping it to run backward, but be patient as I'm sure you'll do just fine. :D I do have to get to replying to your email...it's been absolute chaos here lately, but I haven't forgotten! Many hugs!!
