So I got all nervous last week realizing that jam is on the way (five cases) and another box with organic spearmint from PA., and spices have been shipped. . . and my tea order was ready to pick up . . . I needed more shelf space, a.s.a.p.! So husband and I went to a used furniture place we like, and picked up two hutches--they come apart into an upper and lower half--got here before 8 a.m. and cleaned them, moved all the furniture around--might as well mop the whole floor since everything was shuffled anyway--so the shop has some nice updates and much more shelf space today. Then concentrated on getting the teas all sealed up and during the day I was able to parcel them into those "envelopes" I designed and printed to hold 20 tea bags. I think they look nice:
and here's the one with the hot stuff--more is coming with the spice order, and I'm looking for a hot sauce and a great BBQ sauce to shelf with them:
and lucky me, both those hutches have storage beneath, very handy for the every-growing gift basket selection I'm picking up now that Easter is over, the thrifty stores have an abundance.
That "barrel" gizmo up above, it's such a neat thing. We found it broken into several pieces, very dirty, in the back storeroom under the stairs when we were gutting out everything a few weeks ago. I took it home and it sat on the porch, last weekend I scrubbed it, repaired and painted it, and reassembled it, and it will be wonderful and just right for catnip bags, dog treats, and maybe some cob corn for the birdies and squirrels, when fall comes. Every day, please help pray with us that the store will continue to build, that we're able to safely decide to extend the lease for another year, that we can be a help to the community with all these great resources. I have several classes coming up with two teachers, and I'm teaching four classes in the next three weeks (11th and 25th). Spread the word. We'd like to do good things here. Peace.
