Here's the homemade cutting boards that were just dropped off minutes ago by a local Fireman who does a wood shop as a hobby--and I gave him some sketches for simple children's toys and asked him to think about doing me up a few by Thanksgiving so the store would have them for Christmas, how's that for confidence?
And working on saving my customers money by researching bread dough suppliers, got a call in for a company that delivers just up the street, hoping they can halve the prices quoted to me this morning by GFS, it was so high--$1.70 a frozen loaf--I actually said, no, I need the wholesale price . . . and that WAS the whsl. price, egads. Don't you worry, somewhere out there is a more frugal solution and I will find it soon so we can start baking and having fresh breads available at the store in 3 weeks or so. Then, baby, two weeks later I will start making crack candy with all natural oil flavorings, no artificial colors, no preservatives. I could not find anything up to my standards, so going to take care of that myself.
And here's the Scarlet Runner beans I purchased off of Ebay:
so tomorrow, will come in early and pull the last of the weeds, plant these, and hopefully by then I can locate something suitable for bean poles so people will know it's planted. I'm about to go look on craigslist for a bike rack, the city has some but says they can only be placed on public property, not businesses (insert rolly eye here) so guess if I want one, gotta go find my own (insert raspberry noises here). Once the last of the mulch is shifted over, and the rack is in place and the beans planted, the urban garden is all done and then it's just water and wait, water and wait. It's all good, and I feel very, very blessed in abundance over and beyond deserving. Peace.
