So Husband and I had a go-round about getting the Facebook going, he knows the system well and has used it for years, and I'm a total newb all around about it. I told him my hands feel pretty full right now getting open and following up loose ends for suppliers and local gardeners, so he is going to coax the page along for now and in a month or two (still gotta get my Etsy store back up again) I'll gradually start taking it over, so if you are on Facebook, go over to Plain Andpractical and say howdy howdy, it's much appreciated, being a new page it's rather empty but we're working on it.
And here in my "virtual" word, wanted to introduce you to Mr. Dell:
Isn't he marvelous? I don't think I'll ever respect my home refrigerator the same again. Dell has a new gasket ($173) and a new thermostat adjustment ($75) and he's good and steady and huge, but empty, we haven't loaded him with cheeses and meats yet. It's way more fridge than I need but he's here and happy to be put to work so Dell it is.
And I have this fun new friend I'm learning all about, those of you who have ever worked in retail are probably remembering your first nervous moments ringing up those first sales, wow can I relate:
and this little guy is just super, $40 or so and you can seal up anything in your house quick as lightning, baggies of anything from nails to craft supplies, foods for cupboard or fridge or freezer. This way we know any foods you bring home from the store haven't had any curious little fingers inside, the twistem won't come off like it did on a seven pound bag of flour I dropped in my van years ago. We leave enough room between the tape and the food, so you can re-fasten it at home after you take some of the goods out of the bag, just snip it with scissors and out comes the food:
So you know I'm walking around naming everything, of course. Had a great day yesterday, made more contacts looking for the eggs and other locally grown items, and met with a couple of neighbors this morning and talked about how we can clean up that back entrance area and the alley alongside the building. Like all small towns, just need a little momentum and the ball will start to roll in all kinds of good directions! Peace.
Could you request dear husband to put the Facebook link in the main P&P web page? I will join and send it around to all my friends. :-)

With that huge refrigerator, all I could imagine are food.. food and food. Now, you're making me hungry.
